The doctors and staff are truly top-notch and made me feel comfortable and well-cared for throughout my visit. Dr. Alvaro Silva is a true artist in his field, one of the best dentists I've met. The expertise and attention to detail is evident in the quality of their work, I came all the way to get my dental implant done and I couldn't be happier with the results. The price was a fraction of what it would have cost me in the United States, about 1/4 of the cost. The rich history of building monuments and pyramids in Mexico is reflected in the quality of the work provided at Ideal Dental, which is truly excellent. I was impressed with the level of service provided, from the initial consultation to the final result. I had cavities pointed out to me many years ago by dentists who said they were in such difficult places to work on in the back of the mouth, they refused to touch them. They said I should just leave them be because touching them would almost definitely mean root canals. When I started feeling pain and got an abscess I knew there was no time left and scheduled an appointment with the Ideal Dental Center. Being from New York with no real ability to communicate in Spanish, I was a bit nervous doing dental work in Mexico City. I had no reason to be. From the moment I walked into the clinic, the receptionist was very kind and spoke great English. Most of the doctors speak English including their general dentists, Dr. Stephanie and Dr. Oriana. Dr. Stephanie spent almost two hours with diagnostic x-rays, physical inspection, and hot/cold nerve diagnosis to give me the most accurate information possible. The large amount of work I needed in my head ended up being a small fraction of what I really needed done. But I was given clear evidence of why I needed the work done along with a prioritization list of what I should definitely get done now and what I could wait on. I was also told the diagnosis was the worst case scenario and could certainly get better when they actually get a clear look under fillings. I chose to do everything, which took approximately 60 hours in a dental chair over 7 visits. Ideal Dental Clinic doctors do not rush anything. A basic dental cleaning took 40 minutes which is unheard of in the states. Even a mouth guard was adjusted over 10 times to make sure it fit perfectly comfortable. Dr. Stephanie, took multiple scans and made constant adjustments to make sure inlays would sit correctly. Dr. Ammy did five root canals in one session but made sure to verify every one was successful and done properly. When the first set of crowns was made they were slightly off. Dr. Guillermo, one of the bosses at the clinic, took control, realigned all my teeth and ordered a new set of crowns be made. Dr. Adolfo then did all the crown work and was a master. The amount of care they took, to make sure I was happy and the procedures were done correctly was a welcome surprise. All work is double checked by another doctor. Dr. Alvaro would often pop in just to see how things are going and give his advice. The doctors listened to my requests on what I wanted and took every effort to make sure I was feeling okay while working and happy with the work afterwards. They worked around my schedule to make sure they could finish all the work before I had to fly back. Dental work that would have taken at least half a year to do in the states was done in 8 days with their modern equipment, and hard work. This a highly cohesive team and not just a group of doctors. I’m so glad I decided to get all this work done at the Ideal Dental Clinic. They are a very busy clinic but clearly cared about my dental health. They made me very welcome, and by the third day everyone had memorized my name and was greeting me like family. If I ever need any more serious work done I will be back and I give my highest recommendation to anyone wondering if they should visit. I traveled in from New York City and visited the clinic 4 times in total during one trip. On one of the days I was there for 8 hours and I had intensive work done including dental surgery. All the team are highly skilled and they work together as a team to ensure that you get the best possible treatment. The work there is world class, with a high attention to detail and great care taken. The atmosphere is warm and friendly too. It was such a pleasure to work with a positive and happy crew that communicate well with each other. I found the atmosphere to be much more joyful than dentistry experiences in the US, and it really put me at ease to see how everyone was so happy in their work and communications with one another. It made it much easier to stay there all day. I've already recommended Ideal Dental to a friend, and I will definitely go back there again. After my first assessment appointment I was really stressed, I think I drove everyone crazy trying to figure out whether it was even possible to get so much work done in such a short period of time. Dr. Adolfo’s patience in answering the same questions over and over was unbelievable. When I showed up in the office the second day, I was still thinking about whether I am making the right decision. But after meeting all specialists that were going to be involved and 2-3 hours into the treatment, all my doubts were gone. Everything that was planned was done on time and I am absolutely psyched about the outcome. I am not saying that everything went smoothly, there were a couple of unexpected delays, but the whole team stayed with me until 10pm to resolve them. I was also impressed with the equipment. Everything is done on premises in a matter of hours and for a fraction of the cost.. It takes my dentist in the US at least 4 appointments, 3 weeks, and is considerably more expensive. And last, but not least, the staff is amazing! Dr. Guillermo put together a real dream team. Everyone is so supportive of each other and kind. They helped me organize all my procedures ( dental exam, xray, cleaning, 3 ceranic inlay fillings, 2 root canals, 2 crowns, plus surgery and bone graft for an implant for an infected gum. They did all of this amazing work in three full days. I was also for the most part painfree after all the procedures. however I experienced some minor discomforr from the surgery but that was it. Annd it was suprising from the amount of work( 8 hrs first day, 11 hours second day and 5 hours on my third day) It was a amazing experience from the kind receptionist and all the doctors and apprentices that worked on my teeth. I think I saw 7 different specialists and they were all super competent, amazing, caring and compassionate as they treated me . They communicated clearly and quickly as I transitioned between different specialists. For a very busy dental clinic, they are super well organized and professiinal. They even transcribed my entire dental record with them with detailed costs and procedures for my own personal records. I highly recommend Ideal Dental. Not only do you save money but you also get to check out Mexico City! The quality of care is 10/10. I received better quality care here than my 30+ years of going to dentists in the United States. They also have impressive technological equipment, including a 3D scanner for your mouth that is used to manufacture a perfectly shaped crown (and the crown is manufactured on site in just one day!). Read moreMy experience with Ideal Dental center was very positive. I still have 3 more visits to go to complete the dental work that I need done. The whole process of getting my appointment, the travel to Mexico City and the actual work has been easy and very professional. I used Dental Departures web site for the selecting of the dental office and the booking of my times to see the dentist when in Mexico City. That site was extremely helpful and followed up with me before I left for the appointment in Mexico City. Upon arrival I had a three hour consultation with Ideal Dental Center about my teeth issues, the plan for correcting the problems and the time and cost involved. Dr. Gabrielle Torres Barros consulted and guided me about my treatment plan. She also assisted throughout the weekend with a specialists that came in to do my work for this first trip. I need a total of five implants and some cosmetic work. The first day was easy, the next day was 8 hours of work. I arrived for my first specialist. With Dr. Gabrielle‘s assistance the specialist cleaned my teeth, extracted two teeth on top , gave me bone replacement, and a membrane on top of extracted two teeth. I was already missing three teeth, so in those areas they gave me three titanium implants which will be the base for three new teeth in the bottom. The third day was 5 hours of work. A double root canal and reconstruction of the root canal teeth. Although the process and weekend was very long and challenging to be in the dental chair for such a extended period of time. Ideal Dental Center was kind, professional and the work they performed was extremely high end dental work. No different than getting the work done in America, actually think they did a better job than what they do in America. Because I have such a limited amount of time when you’re there they do a ton of work in a short period and that in itself is a blessing. Especially if you don’t like to go to the dentist. Ideal Dental Center did a wonderful job for my first trip to Mexico City to work on my teeth. I look forward to seeing them again in four months time. I want to thank all of the staff at Ideal Dental Center including Dr. Gabriella for all of your professional dental skills. Im usually hesitant of business with too many good reviews while similar businesses have no or few reviews. I figured I'd take a chance and couldn't be happier. The front desk staff and the dentist were super helpful and accommodating with my tight schedule. Ended up getting 3 rootcanals and 2 inlays for my teeth with large fillings. They make the crown in-house so turn around town is fast. I will be heading back once I have a number of major procedures to take care of. Flight, hotel and their fees were still much lower than what my dentist would have charged. So pretty much got a free vacction to CDMX + more money left in my pocket. Highly recommend. Ideal's high tech equipment made the process go very smoothly and with perfect results. I would highly recommend the staff of dentists and supporting assistants who made everything go exceedingly well. I would rate them higher than what I've experiencing in the San Francisco Bay area. Read moreIf you are anything like me, you are probably scouring the reviews for different dentists in Mexico City, reading reviews and trying to understand whether it is a safe or feasible option to have your work done abroad. Let me make this decision easier for you. I am never going to any other dentist again for 3 reasons: 1. I live in Washington DC and their prices I was quoted for a root canal and an extraction and bone graft and implant were far more than I could afford to pay. Over here, not only was the sticker price 60% cheaper than what I would have paid in the states, they gave me a package deal that made it even more affordable and allowed me to get everything I needed done. They did 7 hours of work over the span of two days that I otherwise would have needed to wait for three years in the states to get done, given my annual insurance maximums. 2. I have never been treated with better care, attention, or empathy by any dentist or doctor, ever. Gabriela was my dentist and was nothing short of spectacular. I came in late for my appointment (4pm) and she worked on what I needed done until 10pm just so I could make my flight the next day. Not only this, but she made sure I was comfortable and understood what was happening at every step. 3. These guys are professional and really good at explaining exactly what you need, what you don’t, and how to fix any issues with the best treatment possible. They have really advanced technology (did a 3D X-ray of my mouth that I’ve never seen before and literally had crowns made in hours on site). Guillermo and Mike will make sure you’re comfortable with all your questions before you start. I highly recommend these guys. Their reviews definitely don’t lie. Leer menos
